Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders and lead engineers to deliver major mission-critical projects.
  • Lead the design and deployment of job scheduling and execution platforms.
  • Develop self-service tools to improve cluster operating efficiency and user experience.
  • Participate in business and technical improvement projects from a Data Platform perspective.
  • Research and develop modern data engineering technologies.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in a programming language such as Java or Python.
  • At least 10 years of experience designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale software infrastructure.
  • Expertise in distributed systems such as Kubernetes, Airflow, and Genie.
  • Experience designing and developing web services in cloud environments such as AWS and GCP.
  • Excellent communication skills and enthusiasm for sharing experience and knowledge with colleagues.
  • A proactive approach to automating manual or repetitive work.
