Responsibilities

  • Own the design, implementation, and ongoing improvement of the Platform and Hybrid Scale Integration Playground, including infrastructure provisioning, test tooling, and environment lifecycle management.
  • Build and scale hybrid test infrastructure supporting large-scale simulation environments with thousands of simulated gateways.
  • Develop benchmark test suites for scale-sensitive operations and detect regressions early in the release cycle.
  • Design and maintain Terraform-based infrastructure for scale and platform playground environments.
  • Identify test coverage gaps and improve coverage through new tooling and test strategies.
  • Partner with Networking, Platform, Security, and Engineering Release & Test teams on domain requirements, playground infrastructure, and test designs.
  • Mentor engineers and establish standards for test design, infrastructure quality, and engineering practices.
  • Lead test design and planning for platform and hybrid-scale features, managing timelines and execution.
  • Participate in code reviews, on-call rotations, and interviews.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in software development or test engineering, emphasizing infrastructure, scale testing, or platform engineering.
  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Strong coding skills in Python and/or Golang.
  • Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure, networking, gateway architectures, VPCs, and cloud-service-provider account structures across AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI.
  • Hands-on experience designing and managing large-scale cloud test environments and infrastructure-as-code.
  • Proficiency with Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, GitHub Actions, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Ability to work independently and drive projects from design through delivery with minimal supervision.
  • Experience using AI-powered tools such as GitHub Copilot and LLM-based assistants to improve test generation, infrastructure automation, and engineering productivity.
  • Preferred experience with large-scale simulation or emulation environments, benchmark testing, hybrid or multi-cloud infrastructure, observability tools, and mentoring or technical leadership.

  • US annual base salary range of $189,303-$222,710, plus benefits, 401(k) match, equity, and bonus eligibility.

Salary: $189k - $223k/yr
