Staff Enterprise Security Engineer in USA new

Responsibilities

  • Conduct security assessments, vulnerability scans, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate threats.
  • Own and implement security hardening for enterprise and corporate systems.
  • Provide security subject matter expertise for enterprise and corporate systems.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation for security events.
  • Recommend vendors and provide implementation guidance for cloud and on-premise assets.
  • Identify deficiencies in the security program and implement improvements.
  • Integrate security measures into the system development lifecycle with cross-functional teams.
  • Monitor and analyze security logs from SIEMs and IDS/IPS to identify suspicious activity and respond to incidents.
  • Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Track security trends, threats, and technology solutions.
  • Support internal stakeholders on compliance and security best practices.
  • Participate in change management and change review board activities, identifying implementation risks.

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of information security experience focused on security engineering.
  • Proficiency with SIEM, IDS/IPS, vulnerability scanners, endpoint protection, and related security technologies.
  • Deep understanding of common vulnerabilities and how to exploit them.
  • Strong engineering understanding of common enterprise technologies, including on-premise and SaaS environments.
  • Working knowledge of at least one programming language such as Python, Elixir, C, or Rust.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, independent-working, and collaboration abilities.
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Security, or equivalent professional experience, is preferred.
  • Experience with Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud is preferred.
  • Familiarity with threat detection engineering and security operations practices and tools is preferred.
  • Startup and/or defense-industry experience is preferred.
  • CISSP, CISM, CISA, or equivalent certifications are highly desirable.
  • Eligibility to obtain or active TS/SCI clearance is preferred.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual, or eligible to obtain required U.S. Department of State authorizations under ITAR requirements.

Salary: $160k - $245k/yr
