Responsibilities

Run and improve the managed feature store, including feature definition, backfilling, serving, and use in model training and deployment.
Build and improve automated ML training, retraining, deployment, and model-serving platforms used across multiple data science teams.
Create self-service agents and tooling for feature registration, training jobs, model promotion, and monitoring.
Scale batch scoring and low-latency online inference with autoscaling, resource isolation, and cost controls.
Extend monitoring for data drift, feature drift, prediction quality, and serving health with usable alerts and dashboards.
Define and lead adoption of standards for model and feature versioning, lineage, testing, and documentation.
Gather stakeholder requirements, identify platform pain points, propose solutions, and drive projects through adoption.

Requirements

Deep hands-on experience as an ML platform or software engineer with a record of platforms serving many production models across multiple teams.
Experience with feature stores and model deployment platforms such as Databricks Feature Store, Feast, Tecton, or equivalent.
Strong experience with CI/CD for ML, model registries, and infrastructure as code with Terraform.
Cloud expertise in AWS or Azure for ML deployment, plus Kubernetes and workflow orchestration.
Strong understanding of batch and real-time serving, autoscaling, latency trade-offs, and cost trade-offs.
Experience building self-service deployment tooling adopted by data scientists and collaborating with backend engineers to launch deployments.
Sufficient depth in model development and common algorithms to partner technically with data scientists.
Ability to work independently through ambiguity, gather requirements, propose solutions, and complete projects.
Familiarity with PySpark, Databricks, and monitoring tools such as Evidently AI is a plus.

Salary: $220k - $265k/yr
