Staff Offensive Security Engineer in USA

Responsibilities

  • Define the long-term technical strategy for continuous offensive security validation.
  • Design and execute complex, multi-stage red-team and adversary simulations across cloud, mobile, and corporate environments.
  • Research high-risk vulnerabilities, including zero-day vulnerabilities and sophisticated logic flaws.
  • Partner with DevOps and Engineering to build automated security guardrails and self-healing infrastructure.
  • Conduct purple-team exercises with Detection and Response to improve monitoring and alert coverage.
  • Mentor senior and mid-level engineers and promote security-minded development across R&D.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in offensive security, red teaming, or penetration testing with demonstrated success uncovering critical vulnerabilities.
  • Deep AWS security architecture expertise, including IAM bypasses, Kubernetes container escapes, and serverless security.
  • Experience with manual code review and bypass techniques for modern web and mobile security controls using Node.js, Python, or Go.
  • Ability to script in Python, Bash, or Go to automate exploitation chains or integrate security testing into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical risks as business impact to executives and collaborate effectively with software engineers.
  • OSCP/OSCE, GXPN, or equivalent evidence of deep technical skill is valued but optional.

Salary: $165k - $200k/yr
