Staff Product Engineer - Brand in Canada new

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, marketing, and other teams to contribute to business and engineering-platform outcomes.
  • Identify opportunities and oversee complex multi-phase projects across multiple teams and platforms from concept through implementation.
  • Build features across backend, frontend, and mobile stacks.
  • Optimize web applications for performance, scalability, and code quality.
  • Mentor engineers on technical judgment and product judgment.
  • Support Brand pillar teams with short-term execution and long-term strategy.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience.
  • Proficiency in at least one of Java, Kotlin, or JavaScript.
  • Comfort with agentic coding tools.
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, TypeScript, React, Next.js, and related frameworks or libraries.
  • Experience driving product improvements end to end, including determining which problems to solve and how to solve them.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Strong product sense, curiosity, and interest in using technology to solve customer problems.
