Staff Security Engineer in USA

Responsibilities

  • Lead security strategy, roadmaps, and architecture adoption across Delinea’s product offerings.
  • Perform security architecture reviews, threat modeling, secure design reviews, and product risk assessments.
  • Expand and mature the Secure Software Development Life Cycle program.
  • Develop cloud, container, application, and infrastructure security standards and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Automate operational activities supporting product and cloud security infrastructure.
  • Respond to, resolve, or escalate security incidents.
  • Advise teams on product security best practices, compliance requirements, and industry trends.
  • Mentor and guide Product Security team members and influence technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Twelve years of professional cybersecurity experience, including at least seven years in Product Security involving security architecture, threat modeling, secure design, or AppSec tooling.
  • Experience with threat modeling, product security design reviews, and SSDLC processes.
  • Experience with cloud security, cryptography, SaaS multi-tenant product architecture, REST APIs, containers, security testing pipeline integration, defect tracking, source code management, and application security testing tools.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, prioritization, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Preferred experience with AI-assisted Product Security activities, cybersecurity frameworks, risk management, NIST, ISO 27001, CIS, GDPR, serverless security, network security, application security, access management, software engineering, Azure, and AWS.
  • Cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, CSSLP, or CISM are preferred.
