Responsibilities

Design, build, deploy, and operate software and systems supporting Firefox engineering.
Develop developer tooling, workflow automation, CI/CD systems, and AI-assisted development tools.
Own end-to-end technical problems across software, cloud, and operational layers.
Improve system reliability, performance, observability, and cost efficiency.
Collaborate with Firefox Engineering, Cloud Engineering, IT, and other teams on cross-functional technical problems.
Use telemetry, metrics, and data analysis to investigate problems and inform engineering decisions.
Contribute to architecture, technical strategy, reusable engineering patterns, and the open-source ecosystem.

Requirements

Strong programming skills in Python or JavaScript/TypeScript; experience with C++ or Rust is useful.
Substantial hands-on experience building, deploying, and operating production systems in cloud environments.
Experience with infrastructure as code such as Terraform.
Experience in areas including CI/CD, containers and orchestration, networking, databases, observability, or developer tooling.
Experience using data, telemetry, and metrics to investigate technical problems and make decisions.
Familiarity with modern AI-assisted development tools and their capabilities, limitations, and appropriate use.
Ability to work across unfamiliar systems and technical domains, take ownership, communicate effectively, and apply systems thinking.
