Responsibilities

Design, build, deploy, and operate software and systems supporting Firefox engineering.
Develop developer tooling, workflow automation, and AI-assisted development tools.
Own complex problems across software, cloud, and operational layers while improving reliability, performance, observability, and cost efficiency.
Collaborate with Firefox Engineering, Cloud Engineering, IT, and other teams on cross-functional technical problems.
Use telemetry, metrics, and data analysis to investigate issues and guide engineering decisions.
Contribute to architecture, technical strategy, standards, and reusable solutions across teams.
Contribute to the open-source ecosystem.

Requirements

Strong software engineering skills and substantial hands-on experience deploying and operating production systems.
Strong programming skills in Python or JavaScript/TypeScript; experience with C++ or Rust is useful.
Experience building, deploying, and operating production systems in cloud environments, including infrastructure as code such as Terraform.
Experience in several areas including CI/CD, containers and orchestration, networking, databases, observability, or developer tooling.
Experience using data, telemetry, and metrics to investigate technical problems and make decisions.
Familiarity with modern AI-assisted development tools and their capabilities, limitations, and appropriate use.
Ability to work across unfamiliar systems and technical domains, take ownership, communicate effectively, and help others build technical skills.
