Staff Software Development Engineer in USA

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable and resilient full-stack platform components, services, and orchestration.
  • Develop and support cloud-native workload credentials and secrets management capabilities within the BeyondTrust SaaS platform.
  • Deliver web-based enterprise application experiences and develop API services, distributed systems, and scalable microservices.
  • Lead system design and complex projects through requirements, implementation, testing, release, and production support.
  • Review technical and functional requirements, identify gaps, propose improvements, and communicate decisions across teams.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentor and guide engineers, and influence stakeholders on strategic decisions.
  • Partner with engineering and non-engineering stakeholders to drive project outcomes and take end-to-end ownership.
  • Apply software engineering best practices, including resilient architecture, testing, peer review, continuous integration, and product release practices.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience delivering and supporting enterprise-ready cloud-based systems.
  • 4+ years of professional production experience with Go.
  • Strong understanding of modern design patterns and architectural trade-offs.
  • Experience leading complex projects across design, implementation, testing, and production release.
  • Experience mentoring and guiding multiple engineers and influencing technical stakeholders.
  • Expertise in cloud and SaaS development, API services, distributed systems, and scalable microservices architectures.
  • Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks and deep knowledge of Angular, React, or similar technologies.
  • Experience with the full development lifecycle, continuous integration, and product release in an agile environment.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, initiative, adaptability, and problem-solving skills.
  • Preferred experience with security or secrets management solutions, AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, production operations at scale, cloud infrastructure, Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, AI agents and harnesses, or open-source projects.
