Staff Software Engineer in USA

Responsibilities

  • Lead design and architecture for major features or components.
  • Independently determine approaches and methods for complex, ambiguous assignments.
  • Partner with engineering teams, Product, and UX to shape solutions before implementation.
  • Build technical credibility and working relationships beyond the immediate team.
  • Establish and champion engineering best practices across teams.
  • Mentor Senior and mid-level engineers and help expand their technical judgment and ownership.
  • Lead technical initiatives spanning multiple engineers or systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
  • Demonstrated experience leading technical initiatives across multiple engineers or systems.
  • Deep expertise in relevant frontend and/or backend technologies.
  • Cloud architecture experience.
  • Hands-on professional experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Devin, Windsurf, or similar is preferred.
