Staff Software Engineer in USA

Responsibilities

  • Define and lead large-scale initiatives involving backend frameworks, tooling, and shared libraries.
  • Design scalable, reliable, and maintainable technical solutions for backend services.
  • Guide the evolution of static analysis, formatting systems, service scaffolding, and other shared developer tooling.
  • Partner with infrastructure, security, and product engineering teams on platform improvements.
  • Mentor engineers and provide technical guidance on code quality, system design, and development practices.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience building and scaling backend systems using Go and Python.
  • Deep knowledge of backend frameworks such as Django and gRPC or comparable systems in Go.
  • Experience designing internal platforms, developer tooling such as Bazel, or shared infrastructure used by multiple teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex technical projects and influence engineering direction across teams.
  • Commitment to improving developer workflows, system quality, and maintainability through thoughtful design.
