Responsibilities

Build and maintain production web applications across frontend and backend systems for the Patient Onboarding team.
Lead technically complex initiatives from problem definition through design, implementation, launch, and production support.
Improve foundational systems and engineering practices while providing technical direction across teams.
Collaborate with Product, Design, Analytics, Data, and other engineering teams to define and deliver patient experience improvements.
Use AI-assisted software development tools such as Claude Code in regular engineering workflows.
Improve engineering leverage through tooling, documentation, shared architecture, and reducing concentrated system knowledge.

Requirements

8+ years of professional software engineering experience, including Staff-level scope or leadership of complex initiatives across multiple teams or systems.
Strong full-stack engineering experience with modern frontend frameworks, backend APIs, data modeling, distributed systems, and production web applications.
Experience leading technically complex projects from problem definition through production support.
Experience with high-impact user journeys such as onboarding, checkout, registration, eligibility, payments, marketplaces, or other conversion-critical workflows.
Experience influencing technical direction across functions or teams and communicating tradeoffs to drive alignment.
Hands-on experience using AI-assisted software development tools as part of regular engineering workflows.
Preferred: experience building adopted AI-powered engineering workflows, tooling, or automation that measurably improved development speed or quality.
Preferred: experience in healthcare, insurance, fintech, or another regulated domain.
Preferred: experience using product, operational, or funnel data to evaluate technical opportunities and engineering investments.
Preferred: experience improving engineering leverage through tooling, documentation, shared architecture, or reducing concentrated system knowledge.
