Responsibilities

Own CI/build systems and deployment orchestration across the full lifecycle from design through production operation.
Identify high-leverage developer infrastructure problems, create technical roadmaps, and drive alignment across dependent teams.
Improve build and CI wall time, deployment speed and safety, and developer feedback latency.
Lead cross-cutting initiatives such as large-scale platform migrations across many teams.
Own SLOs, observability, on-call, reliability, and fast recovery for developer infrastructure.
Partner with engineering customers, engineering managers, and leadership on technical strategy and adoption while mentoring engineers through design review, pairing, and shared ownership.

Requirements

8+ years building and operating production distributed systems.
Hands-on proficiency in Go or a comparable systems language and direct experience with CI/CD, build systems, or deployment tooling.
Track record designing and shipping high-impact backend or platform systems used by many engineers and services.
Technical leadership experience setting architectural direction, driving organization-wide alignment, and making decisions that scale while remaining close to the code.
Deep production operations expertise, including reliability, observability, and fast recovery for systems with broad downtime impact.
Ability to lead ambiguous cross-functional initiatives and raise technical standards through mentorship, design review, and clear written and verbal communication.
Ability to use generative AI responsibly with human oversight to improve workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.
