Responsibilities

Architect and deliver distributed backend systems and foundational infrastructure using Go, gRPC, TypeScript, and React.
Define technical direction and strategic roadmaps, translating ambiguous problems into architectural plans with measurable outcomes.
Build and scale reliable services for CX agent workflows and compliance processes, owning delivery from design through production deployment.
Mentor engineers on design, coding standards, testing, and operational practices.
Partner with cross-functional teams across time zones to identify improvements, anticipate issues, and communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Use generative AI responsibly with human oversight to improve workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.

Requirements

8+ years of software engineering experience architecting and delivering distributed systems.
Deep proficiency in Go and experience building scalable, high-traffic backend services in production.
Experience with API development using gRPC and GraphQL, event-driven architectures using Kafka and MQ, and SQL or NoSQL databases.
Hands-on experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD tooling such as BuildKite, and production infrastructure capabilities including rate limiting, caching, load balancing, circuit breakers, metrics, logging, and tracing.
Proven ability to lead technical projects end to end, mentor engineers, and influence architectural decisions across teams without direct authority.

Benefits

Remote-first, but not remote-only, with quarterly in-person working sessions called surges.

Annual base salary range is $218,025—$256,500 USD, excluding equity and bonus.
Candidates may submit a maximum of 3 applications within a 6-month period.
