Responsibilities

  • Drive the technical vision and roadmap for Maven’s infrastructure teams.
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable, performant, and reliable systems for platform and backend teams.
  • Propose and implement cloud-based solutions supporting system agility, flexibility, and scalability.
  • Lead technical design discussions and guide engineers on coding standards, best practices, and architecture principles.
  • Collaborate with and lead cross-functional teams in delivering customer-focused products and features.
  • Mentor mid-level and junior engineers and support a culture of continuous learning.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies, tools, and trends to improve engineering effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 8 years of backend development and platform architecture experience.
  • Proven experience building highly scalable, performant, and reliable systems.
  • Experience designing and implementing complex distributed systems, microservices architectures, containerization, and orchestration.
  • Hands-on experience developing cloud-based solutions with one or more cloud platforms, infrastructure as code, and serverless architectures.
  • Strong knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Proficiency in multiple programming languages, including Java, Python, or Go.
  • Experience leading technical design discussions and providing guidance on architecture and engineering practices.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, collaboration, communication, and mentoring abilities.

Salary: $230k - $270k/yr
