Systems Development Engineer II in USA new

Responsibilities

  • Develop, deploy, and maintain production environments using infrastructure as code, configuration as code, serverless, and containerization techniques.
  • Create custom tools and automation through programming and scripting.
  • Maintain and scale the continuous integration and continuous delivery environment supporting software development.
  • Evaluate, plan, configure, and implement new software services.
  • Apply data lifecycle management to sensitive data through backups, permissions management, and auditing.
  • Participate in on-call rotations, alert triage, escalation, and disaster recovery activities.
  • Contribute to code reviews, estimation, planning, documentation, and other Agile team workflows.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, development teams, and cloud and delivery teams.

Requirements

  • At least two years of experience with continuous integration tools and techniques, configuration management and deployment tools, or systems administration focused on performance analysis, capacity planning, and forecasting.
  • At least two years of experience using Linux, Windows, or Mac operating systems as a power user.
  • At least two years of experience with a current programming language such as Python or Golang.
  • At least two years of experience using source control management tools such as Git or Subversion.
  • At least two years of experience with issue tracking software such as JIRA is preferred.
  • Experience developing enterprise-grade software and understanding the software development lifecycle is preferred.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code, enterprise security and hardening, cloud-native services, monitoring and logging, containerization, Kubernetes, and structured databases is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with AI-driven coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot or Cursor.
  • A four-year or bachelor's degree is preferred, though a combination of relevant experience and education may be considered.
  • Relevant certifications such as LPIC-1, LPIC-2, LPIC-3, RHCE, AWS Solutions Architect Associate, AWS Certified Developer Associate, or AWS Certified SysOps Associate are preferred.

Salary: $94k - $170k/yr
