Responsibilities

  • Lead product development for advanced Layer 2 and Layer 3 access-network software and networking control or data plane protocols.
  • Develop and maintain software for GPON/PON access networks, OLT/ONT platforms, routers, and switches.
  • Work on software upgrades, database migration, multithreaded environments, and highly available systems.
  • Design and develop software architecture and abstraction layers.
  • Implement and support Layer 2 switching, Layer 2 protocols, Layer 3 forwarding and routing, MPLS, and Netconf/Yang.
  • Apply data structures, algorithms, and quality processes while working to tight schedules.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Telecom, or an equivalent field.
  • 4 to 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with Linux or RTOS internals; VxWorks is preferred.
  • Experience with software upgrades, database migration, multithreaded development, and highly available systems.
  • Experience with GPON/PON access networks, OLT/ONT platforms, routers, or switches.
  • Experience with Netconf/Yang and Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking protocols.
  • Excellent C/C++ programming skills, software architecture and design experience, abstraction-layer development experience, and knowledge of data structures and algorithms are preferred.
  • Broadcom or Marvell SDK programming experience is a major plus.
