Responsibilities

Develop and review source code, infrastructure configurations, and application configurations for software components.
Lead Level 3 support for Hadoop compute and storage, Spark configurations and security, data workflows, infrastructure as code, and related technical infrastructure.
Drive continuous improvement for big data applications in production and non-production environments.
Debug, fix, and support Level 2 teams with production incidents and contribute to problem and root-cause analysis.
Conduct code reviews, unit testing, integrated software testing, defect resolution, and quality analysis.
Implement architectural changes, integrate software components, identify dependencies, and perform integration verification.
Provide non-production release deployments and develop routines to deploy change items where applicable.
Create and maintain software training materials, user guides, deployment instructions, and release documentation.
Manage application maintenance and scheduled technical change requests according to release management processes.
Collaborate across the software development lifecycle and implement improvements to scalability, reliability, availability, and performance.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering, or equivalent, with a minor in Finance, Mathematics, or Engineering.
Strong analytical, communication, English-language, teamwork, knowledge-sharing, and virtual collaboration skills.
Ability to design and write code from business requirements and contribute to quality assurance strategy and architecture decisions.
Knowledge of IT delivery and architecture, including data modeling and data analysis.
Relevant Financial Services experience and ability to work with competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of Java or Scala, Spark, Hadoop Hive, workflow orchestrators such as Airflow, Control-M, or Composer, and automation using Python, Bash, or Shell scripting.
Knowledge of cloud offerings and IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS, with GCP preferred.
Knowledge of HP ALM, Jira, ServiceNow, SDLC, and Agile processes.
Ability to use AI tools productively and responsibly while applying critical judgment to data and AI outputs.
