Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated functional, end-to-end, and regression tests.
  • Maintain and enhance an in-house automation framework for stability, speed, and readability.
  • Translate acceptance criteria into test scenarios and test plans.
  • Build reusable test code, page objects, shared utilities, and stable element locator strategies.
  • Diagnose and resolve automation failures such as missing elements, timeouts, and stale elements.
  • Automate API validation and perform manual testing when automation is not feasible.
  • Integrate automated tests into build and release pipelines.
  • Communicate test progress, results, issues, and risks to partners and stakeholders.
  • Participate in refinement, planning, reviews, demos, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • One year of experience maintaining test automation frameworks.
  • One year of experience manually testing APIs using tools such as Postman or Bruno.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Selenium and a test framework such as Cucumber.
  • Working knowledge of Java and core concepts used in day-to-day automation.
  • Understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript web fundamentals.
  • Ability to implement stable locator and wait strategies for reliable automation.
  • Experience with version control, code reviews, feature branching, continuous integration, and build tools such as Jenkins and Maven.
  • Strong communication skills for explaining testing decisions, results, and risks.
  • Preferred: financial services or credit card experience; modern front-end automation including shadow roots; integrations with external tools or data sources; cloud-based platforms and services; Unix-based environments; and Python in addition to Java.
