UI Engineer in UK

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, test, and maintain high-quality Angular frontend applications.
  • Build and maintain React components in a production codebase alongside Angular.
  • Use AI tools and agentic workflows to improve development productivity, code quality, and frontend workflows.
  • Collaborate with product, architecture, and engineering teams to deliver customer value and extensible web application architecture.
  • Write secure, maintainable, well-tested code and participate in code reviews.
  • Evaluate AI-generated code for logical errors, accessibility issues, and performance.
  • Document technical decisions, designs, and learnings.
  • Share AI-assisted development practices and mentor team members on responsible AI tool use.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of software engineering experience with a strong frontend specialization.
  • At least 4 years of production experience with Angular 2nd generation or later.
  • Experience with Angular 16+ features such as standalone components, new control flow, and signals.
  • Practical production experience with React components.
  • Excellent knowledge of TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
  • Experience working with RESTful APIs.
  • Experience with Jasmine and Karma or Jest for unit testing.
  • Experience with SASS, version control, CI/CD pipelines, and modern development workflows.
  • Understanding of testing, security, and software quality fundamentals.
  • Active use of AI tools and ability to validate, correct, and refine AI-generated outputs.
  • Preferred experience with NgRx or Redux, RxJS, frontend hosting models, Playwright, Storybook, SaaS, and Agile Scrum environments.
  • Preferred familiarity with ISO27001, SOC2, HIPAA, and GDPR data security standards.
