Responsibilities

  • Translate generative and agentic AI processes into intuitive, responsive front-end interfaces.
  • Design, build, and maintain scalable, accessible, reusable UI component libraries with React and TypeScript.
  • Implement conversational AI, prompt, agent execution visibility, streaming, and rich dynamic-output interaction patterns.
  • Optimize real-time UI performance, token-streaming latency, asynchronous state management, and optimistic updates.
  • Integrate interfaces with internal services, RAG endpoints, ESRE, and agent orchestration APIs.
  • Collaborate with UX designers, product managers, AI backend engineers, and users to test and refine AI workflows.
  • Apply WCAG accessibility standards and Elastic’s EUI design system.
  • Implement front-end analytics for user satisfaction, prompt effectiveness, interaction latency, and usability.
  • Document component systems, front-end architecture, and design patterns.

Requirements

  • Recent experience creating GenAI user interfaces, including conversational interfaces, dynamic prompt builders, and complex agent workflows.
  • Deep expertise in TypeScript, JavaScript, React, HTML5, and CSS/Sass with modular front-end architecture.
  • Experience managing complex asynchronous UI state and using WebSockets and Server-Sent Events for streaming LLM responses.
  • Background or active practice in UX design, wireframing, design systems, and rapid prototyping.
  • Experience integrating front-end systems with AI/LLM back-end services and orchestration tools such as LangGraph and REST/GraphQL APIs.
  • Experience extending enterprise design systems and using component documentation tools such as Storybook.
  • Knowledge of web performance optimization, cross-browser compatibility, and WCAG accessibility guidelines.
  • Hands-on experience with design and handoff tools such as Figma.
  • Ability and interest in learning and leveraging ESRE, EUI, and the broader Elastic ecosystem.
