Web Engineer Intern in UK

Responsibilities

  • Build full-stack features using React, Next.js, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS with team guidance.
  • Contribute to backend services and APIs using Next.js, NestJS, and Node.js.
  • Learn and apply production infrastructure practices involving AWS, Kubernetes, and containers.
  • Write, test, review, and deploy production code alongside experienced engineers.
  • Contribute to internal tools and developer-facing platforms used across Epic Games.
  • Use AI-assisted software development workflows throughout the software development lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Interest in full-stack web development and modern engineering technologies.
  • Some familiarity with JavaScript, TypeScript, React, or similar web technologies through coursework, projects, or previous experience.
  • Eagerness to learn, ask questions, and solve well-defined engineering problems.
  • Willingness to explore new technologies and codebases, seek support, and incorporate feedback.
  • Ability to work effectively with guidance and communicate questions and blockers.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills with engineers, product partners, external teams, and stakeholders.
  • Understanding of defined requirements and willingness to ask clarifying questions.
  • Interest in using AI tools and AI-assisted workflows in software development.
