Automation Test Engineer in Others

Responsibilities

  • Understand and implement functional, technical, and automation testing requirements while tracking discovered issues.
  • Design and maintain low-maintenance automated test suites using Java, Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber, and other open-source frameworks.
  • Debug application errors, analyze logs, connect to databases, and write SQL scripts to validate underlying tables and data.
  • Define appropriate testing approaches and tools for each solution.
  • Analyze business and testing requirements and create test plans, test cases, test suites, and test data.
  • Review design documents, business requirements, stories, and acceptance criteria to build test scenarios.
  • Report risks, issues, challenges, blockers, and upcoming tasks to the Scrum Master or Quality Manager.
  • Detect, document, and report defects for prioritization with Product Owners.
  • Design and execute performance tests for load, scalability, benchmarking, stability, and reliability.

Requirements

  • Expertise in Java, Selenium, and Cucumber.
  • Strong Java coding skills and experience creating stable, reusable automated tests.
  • Experience with Java, JUnit, Selenium, TestNG, and different automated testing frameworks.
  • Experience with TDD and BDD frameworks.
  • Experience with test management tools such as JIRA, Zephyr, Capture, and Confluence.
  • Ability to debug application components, interpret logs, and validate database data using SQL.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills.
  • API testing experience with Postman is preferred.
  • Experience with cloud-based testing tools such as Selenium Grid, Sauce Labs, or BrowserStack is preferred.
  • Experience designing and developing performance test plans is preferred.
