Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain capabilities and features in the shared QA test automation framework.
  • Create and implement functional, non-functional, analytics, and automation test strategies and plans.
  • Manage test coverage and provide periodic reports to engineering teams and stakeholders.
  • Perform hands-on testing across application, API, automation, infrastructure, and distributed-system layers.
  • Automate web and mobile testing using Java, Selenium, and Appium.
  • Perform API testing using RestAssured or similar frameworks and validate databases with queries and joins.
  • Investigate failures through debugging, root-cause analysis, logs, traces, service interactions, and failure scenarios.
  • Provide effort estimations, identify quality risks, and drive improvements across assigned projects.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in automation testing and product development companies.
  • B.Tech or M.Tech in Computer Science or an equivalent qualification.
  • Hands-on experience with Java-based test automation and a scripting language such as Python.
  • Experience with TestNG, Maven, HTTP clients, REST and web-service test automation, Selenium, and Appium.
  • Experience with API testing using RestAssured or similar API automation frameworks.
  • Understanding of relational databases including Oracle, MySQL, and SQL Server, along with database queries and joins.
  • Strong understanding of QA fundamentals, including test planning, test case design, execution, defect management, and quality ownership.
  • Experience with design patterns and testing or debugging distributed, cloud-native systems.
  • Experience with frontend and backend technologies such as React.js, Angular, Golang, servlets, Bootstrap, input stream processing, JavaScript, and Node.js is a plus.
  • Strong debugging, root-cause analysis, problem-solving, analytical, communication, collaboration, and independent execution skills.
