Responsibilities

Analyze and optimize camera power and performance across Apple products.
Set up experimental boards and measure power, performance, and memory behavior.
Use profiling and analysis tools to triage issues and identify optimizations.
Debug unfamiliar codebases and implement system-level memory and latency improvements.
Collaborate with software and hardware teams to align image-processing algorithms with Apple silicon capabilities.
Assist partner teams in modeling the demands of upcoming camera features.

Requirements

Proficiency in C, C++, or Objective-C.
Knowledge of operating systems, systems, computer architecture, and electrical engineering.
Experience with virtual memory, scheduling, inter-process communication, and synchronization.
Expertise with software profiling techniques and tools such as Xcode, Valgrind, vmmap, Instruments, VTune, or Perfetto.
Ability to quickly understand and debug unfamiliar codebases.
Prior experience developing real-time audio/video processing pipelines is preferred.
Experience using GPU and TPU hardware to accelerate image processing and AI/ML workloads is preferred.
A CS degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
