Forward Deployed Software Engineer, Cleared in USA

Responsibilities

  • Architect and ship full-stack features from technical scoping and design through production.
  • Build and integrate Foundry ontologies and pipelines, AIP agents, and Maven Smart System workflows.
  • Develop AI-powered intake flows, constituent assistants, case routing, and agency dashboards.
  • Set technical direction, improve code quality, and establish reusable engineering patterns.
  • Engage directly with federal agency stakeholders to translate requirements into shippable products.
  • Own platform reliability and performance at government scale.
  • Mentor earlier-career engineers through reviews, pairing, and technical feedback.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional engineering experience owning complex features and systems.
  • Hands-on experience with Palantir Foundry, AIP, or Maven Smart System, including ontologies, pipelines, or AIP agents.
  • Deep experience with React, Next.js, Node.js, TypeScript, and Postgres.
  • Experience building and standing behind a real product, open-source project, or designed system.
  • Ability to define problems and operate effectively in ambiguous environments.
  • Active Top Secret or TS/SCI clearance and U.S. citizenship.
  • Preferred experience includes classified or accredited environments, Forward Deployed Engineering, Palantir-led programs, government or regulated technology, cloud deployment, AWS, Vercel, GitHub Actions, ECS/Fargate, design systems, component libraries, and early-stage technical leadership.

  • Hybrid work from the New York City headquarters or DC office, with in-office work Tuesday through Thursday; candidates must reside in or commute to NYC or DC.
