Responsibilities

Build backend services and optimization algorithms for real-time energy asset processing.
Develop operator dashboards for monitoring and controlling battery assets.
Design and scale cloud infrastructure for distributed battery systems.
Deploy production optimizations and improve them using real-world feedback.
Collaborate cross-functionally to define product features and requirements.

Requirements

Up to five years of professional experience and a graduation date of 2023 or later.
Full-stack experience with React, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, and Python.
Hands-on experience with energy systems and energy management controllers, plus demonstrated interest in the energy sector.
Experience as a founding engineer or founding product engineer, ideally at an early-stage startup.
Experience deploying optimization methods in production and a solid understanding of mixed-integer optimization.
Cloud infrastructure experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure.
Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, mathematics, or electrical engineering, with a grade better than 2.0.
Fluent or near-fluent German and a semester abroad at a highly regarded university in the US, UK, or Asia.
Participation in a selective extracurricular university group is a plus.

Benefits

Annual base salary of €70,000 to €100,000.
Visa sponsorship is available.
On-site in Munich, Bavaria, Germany, five days per week.
