Full Stack Engineer, Employee Experience in USA

Responsibilities

  • Develop highly reliable software solutions used across SpaceX.
  • Create applications that improve SpaceX operations and employee experience.
  • Build prototypes to validate design concepts and quantify technical constraints.
  • Own all aspects of software engineering and product development.
  • Analyze user problems and create efficient solutions.
  • Participate in architecture, design, and code reviews.
  • Profile and improve application performance.
  • Support software testing, integration, builds, deployments, and monitoring.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a scientific discipline, or at least 2 years of professional software-building experience in lieu of a degree.
  • At least 1 year of full-stack development experience.
  • Preferred experience with Python, C#.NET, Go, Scala, Java, or a similar object-oriented language.
  • Preferred rigorous experience building single-page web applications.
  • Preferred experience with version control, continuous integration and delivery, software system design, testing, build and deployment processes, and monitoring.
  • Preferred experience with build systems, package management, UNIX-like systems, infrastructure management, in-stream data processing, Docker, Kubernetes, front-end JavaScript frameworks, and relational databases.
  • Applicants must meet applicable ITAR eligibility or authorization requirements.

Benefits

  • Onsite work is required; remote and hybrid work are not considered.
  • May require extended hours or weekends depending on launch cadence.
  • Base salary range is $135,000.00–$160,000.00 per year for Software Engineer Level I and $155,000.00–$185,000.00 per year for Level II.
  • Potential eligibility for company stock, stock options, long-term cash awards, discretionary bonuses, and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan.

  • Up to 3 weeks of paid vacation, 10 or more paid holidays, and paid sick leave under company policy.
