Responsibilities

Coordinate software safety work products through completion under the Safety Plan and prepare evidence for independent assessment.
Participate in specifying software safety requirements and review software safety architecture, unit design, and implementation.
Develop or review test plans, test procedures, and verification reports at software unit and integration levels, and support system-level testing.
Perform software safety analyses, including dependent failure analysis, to comply with ISO 26262.
Support hardware-software interface development and derive safety measures.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to assess work products for ISO 26262 compliance.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or higher in software, electrical, mechanical, or another related engineering field, or a bachelor’s degree with professional experience in a high-tech environment.
Experience with functional safety assessment, preferably at the vehicle component level, and applying ISO 26262 to safety cases.
Experience with ISO 26262 Parts 4, 6, 8, and 9, especially Part 6 implementation for vehicles.
Experience with system- and software-level vehicle verification and validation.
Knowledge of software configuration management and software quality assurance.
Ability to prepare safety argumentation, structure project tasks, and drive evidence development across teams.
Strong communication skills, collaborative approach, proactive problem-solving, and hands-on experience.
C++ and MATLAB experience is a plus but not required.
