Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain Stripe Identity mobile SDKs and verification experiences across iOS, Android, and React Native.
Create accessible and polished identity-document and selfie-capture experiences that account for device capabilities and real-world conditions.
Build reliable SDK APIs, reusable components, and developer-facing integration experiences.
Deliver features end to end across mobile clients, supporting APIs, and services.
Improve mobile performance, reliability, observability, testing, release processes, and backward compatibility.
Make architectural decisions balancing user experience, developer experience, security, privacy, and maintainability.
Collaborate with product managers, designers, machine-learning engineers, backend engineers, researchers, mobile teams, Stripe users, and field teams.
Operate owned systems and SDKs, diagnose production issues, and establish mobile-engineering practices.

Requirements

At least 3 years of professional software-development experience, including meaningful experience building and shipping mobile applications or SDKs.
Experience developing for a major mobile platform using Swift or Objective-C for iOS.
Strong software-design fundamentals and experience creating maintainable APIs, components, or frameworks.
Experience delivering mobile functionality beyond an isolated UI layer, including API and service integration, local state, or device capabilities.
Experience testing, debugging, monitoring, and improving mobile software in production.
Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical partners and commitment to high-quality user and developer experiences.
Preferred: experience with mobile SDKs, shared libraries, developer-facing APIs, iOS and Android, React Native, Kotlin Multiplatform, camera or biometric experiences, sensitive data, accessibility, internationalization, mobile performance, unreliable networks, mobile CI, automated testing, release automation, observability, developer-productivity tooling, or backend APIs and services.
