Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable Java/Spring Boot applications in a cloud-native AWS environment.
  • Implement core service logic and APIs for the Active Outage Management application.
  • Integrate AWS services and distributed messaging systems.
  • Write comprehensive unit and integration tests.
  • Participate in parallel-run, shadow-traffic, and validation activities.
  • Use Git workflows including feature branching, merge requests, and CI pipelines.
  • Collaborate with an agile team during daily standups and design discussions.
  • Communicate clearly with leadership and technical teams.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of Java development experience.
  • At least 2 years of Spring Boot experience.
  • Hands-on experience with at least three of AWS ECS, SQS, SNS, Aurora PostgreSQL, DocumentDB, and EventBridge.
  • Strong SQL skills, including complex queries, transactions, and indexing strategies.
  • Experience with Kafka or another distributed messaging system.
  • Solid unit and integration testing practices.
  • Proficiency with Git workflows, feature branching, merge requests, and CI pipelines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work 9 AM–6 PM IST with at least four hours of daily overlap with the US Eastern time zone.
