Responsibilities

  • Build cryptographic libraries and implement algorithms and industry specifications in client applications.
  • Develop shared security libraries and implement security features across 1Password products.
  • Conduct code and design reviews to promote cryptographic hygiene and security standards.
  • Assist with security design and scoping for features involving cryptography.
  • Assess and resolve security vulnerabilities across applications.
  • Collaborate with Design, Product, Product Engineering, management, and other developers.

Requirements

  • 0–2+ years of software development experience.
  • Strong experience with security development best practices, coding standards, and design patterns.
  • Basic understanding of modern cryptographic algorithms, trade-offs, and implementation considerations.
  • Experience implementing testing methodologies and debugging techniques.
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Rust or Golang experience is preferred, as is experience implementing industry standards into libraries or codebases.
