Lead Infrastructure Security Engineer in USA

Responsibilities

  • Build out the Infrastructure Security and Security Engineering functions with the Head of Information Security.
  • Conduct infrastructure, code, service architecture, threat modeling, and secure design reviews.
  • Lead engineers in threat modeling services and deployments.
  • Define security metrics and assist with interviewing and onboarding security personnel.
  • Support incident response initially and provide escalation support as the organization grows.
  • Integrate, maintain, and automate SAST, DAST, SCA, and secrets-management tools in CI/CD pipelines.
  • Build and integrate agentic security tools for company needs.
  • Perform manual and automated security reviews and targeted penetration testing.
  • Manage external Vulnerability Disclosure or Bug Bounty programs and translate regulatory compliance requirements into engineering tasks.

Requirements

  • At least 6 years of experience in Infrastructure Security and general Security Engineering processes.
  • At least 2 years of experience as a Team Lead or Manager of a Security team.
  • Broad and deep foundational security knowledge.
  • Professional experience using AI systems and agents for security outcomes.
  • Deep hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP and infrastructure tools including Docker, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Cybersecurity, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Desired qualifications include software development experience related to mechanical engineering environments; experience with Snyk, GitHub Advanced Security, Burp Suite, or Fortify; and familiarity with the OWASP Top 10, CWE Top 25, and secure design patterns.
  • Ability to travel to conferences, vendors, and test sites and intermittently work longer hours or weekends for critical needs.
