Machine Learning Engineer, Search Quality in USA new

Responsibilities

  • Invent new signals to improve search personalization.
  • Train models that capture interactions between signals in the ranking system.
  • Develop methods to domain-adapt language models to customer corpora.
  • Combine large language models with search engines to answer complex questions.
  • Write robust, readable, maintainable, and testable code.
  • Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with customers and cross-functional teams.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience.
  • BA/BS in computer science, mathematics, sciences, or a related field.
  • Experience with search, recommendation, natural language processing, or other large systems involving machine learning.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to work with data.
  • Ability to design, build, and ship production-ready models.
  • Proficiency in an ML framework.
  • Strong coding skills in languages such as Python, Go, Java, or C++.
  • Ability to work in a customer-focused, cross-functional environment and take ownership of impactful work.
