Responsibilities

  • Design and build AI agents and automated clinic-operation workflows for insurance verification, prior authorizations, patient intake, claims, and clinical documentation.
  • Build web and mobile features for clinicians, patients, families, and internal operations teams.
  • Take ambiguous problems from definition through specification, implementation, deployment, and production ownership.
  • Design services, data models, and APIs while managing infrastructure as code.
  • Own production services, including deployments, monitoring, and incident response.
  • Write evaluations for model-facing features and track workflow metrics.
  • Handle protected health information using least-privilege access, auditability, and strict logging controls.
  • Build and maintain engineering skills, plugins, MCP integrations, and AI code-review bots.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience building and shipping production software.
  • Experience owning products or features end to end, from ambiguous problems to dependable systems.
  • Strong full-stack skills in Python and TypeScript across frontend, backend, databases, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Experience working in a large, established codebase.
  • Hands-on LLM experience including tool use, agent orchestration, structured outputs, retrieval, and evaluations, using LangGraph, an agents SDK, or similar.
  • Daily experience using AI coding agents such as Claude Code, Codex, or Cursor, including configuring project instructions, skills, MCP servers, hooks, and subagents and reviewing generated output.
  • Ability to make sound UI decisions without a dedicated designer and use a component library.
  • High agency, self-directed problem solving, and clear written communication.
  • Preferred experience includes healthcare or regulated industries, HIPAA, payer and claims workflows, EHR integrations, HL7/FHIR, Temporal or another durable workflow engine, React Native, production LLM evaluations or safety checks, agent harnesses, MCP servers, coding-agent plugins, open-source work, side projects, or internal tools.
