Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain cross-platform mobile applications with React Native and TypeScript.
  • Own mobile features from requirements refinement through development, release, and ongoing production support.
  • Collaborate with designers, backend engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to deliver reliable mobile experiences.
  • Build scalable data-fetching and application-state solutions using React Query and suitable state-management patterns.
  • Improve application performance, responsiveness, reliability, maintainability, and load times.
  • Investigate and resolve defects, crash reports, and device-specific behavior across iOS and Android.
  • Participate in architecture discussions, technical planning, code reviews, and engineering design decisions.
  • Contribute to mobile CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, release processes, and app-store deployments.
  • Monitor production applications using crash reporting, usage metrics, analytics, and observability tools.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
  • Help establish and improve React Native, TypeScript, accessibility, testing, and mobile development practices.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of professional software development experience, including meaningful React Native experience.
  • Strong proficiency with TypeScript, JavaScript, React, and React Native.
  • Experience building, debugging, and supporting production mobile applications on both iOS and Android.
  • Experience with React Query and state-management tools or patterns such as Zustand, Context API, Redux, or comparable solutions.
  • Experience writing unit, component, integration, or end-to-end tests for mobile applications.
  • Familiarity with GitHub Actions, Fastlane, certificates, provisioning, and app-store submissions.
  • Experience using Git in a monorepository.
  • Familiarity with crash reporting, monitoring, analytics, and observability tools such as Amplitude.
  • Understanding of mobile accessibility standards and WCAG principles.
  • Experience integrating or supporting push notifications and troubleshooting production application performance.
  • Preferred experience includes Apple Wallet, native iOS development, native Android development, AWS, Terraform, mobile automation frameworks, and pharmacy benefits or healthcare technology.
  • Strong written communication, autonomous work habits, and effective collaboration with product and engineering teams are required.

Benefits

  • Hybrid work arrangement with three days per week in the office in the New York, Denver, or Charlotte area.

Salary: $92k - $136k/yr
