Mobile Engineer (Contractor) - Palo Alto in USA

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, maintain, and optimize core Plaud App features for functionality, performance, reliability, and user experience.
  • Build and maintain robust, scalable connectivity and data transmission flows between mobile applications and physical devices.
  • Implement and optimize data interactions across mobile applications, hardware devices, firmware, and backend systems.
  • Collaborate with hardware, firmware, backend, product, and design teams to deliver integrated end-to-end features.
  • Contribute to technical design, code quality, codebase maintainability, and AI-assisted engineering practices.

Requirements

  • Solid experience in mobile application development with strong coding fundamentals and system design capabilities.
  • Experience developing mobile applications on iOS, Android, or Flutter-based cross-platform solutions.
  • Experience building and maintaining software-hardware connectivity and data interaction layers, including BLE, Wi-Fi, and custom device communication protocols.
  • Ability to debug, optimize, and maintain complex systems spanning mobile apps, devices, firmware, and backend services.
  • Collaborative mindset, end-to-end feature ownership, and willingness to apply AI technologies and AI-assisted tools to improve development efficiency and delivery velocity.
