Responsibilities

Own the technical direction and delivery of client engagements while leading and increasing the effectiveness of engineering teams.
Design, implement, deliver, and test innovative iOS and Android applications for consumer banking use cases.
Design systems, write code when needed, guide architectural decisions, and ensure high-quality delivery.
Collaborate with client stakeholders, designers, product partners, and Lab49 leadership to align technical solutions with business objectives.
Promote strong software architecture, engineering best practices, and adoption of appropriate technologies.
Mentor engineers so they become more autonomous, capable, and effective.
Proactively identify and address delivery risks while maintaining client trust and technical clarity.

Requirements

10–12+ years of experience designing and building complex, commercial-grade software systems.
4+ years of experience leading Agile teams.
Proficiency in Swift and native iOS development tools including SwiftUI and UIKit.
Experience with consumer banking applications, including account management and onboarding.
Familiarity with integrating RESTful APIs and third-party libraries.
Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines for mobile applications.
Understanding of mobile UI/UX principles and best practices.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred qualifications include native Android development with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, fraud management/KYC/AML, regulatory reporting, on-device biometrics, released App Store applications, AppConfig community standards, enterprise app distribution, and AI-assisted development tools such as Claude, Claude Code, and Copilot.
A college degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience, is a bonus qualification.
