Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance scalable test automation frameworks for web and mobile applications.
  • Create and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright and suitable programming languages.
  • Design and execute functional, regression, integration, and API automation tests.
  • Develop and maintain API automation suites using REST Assured.
  • Write complex SQL queries to validate backend data and application workflows.
  • Perform cross-browser and cross-platform testing using BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, or similar tools.
  • Improve test coverage, automation efficiency, reliability, and maintainability.
  • Define, track, analyze, and report Quality Engineering metrics.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and support continuous testing.
  • Analyze failures, troubleshoot issues, investigate defects, and collaborate with developers on resolutions.
  • Provide technical leadership for automation strategy, framework architecture, and testing best practices.
  • Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives.
  • Participate in test planning, estimation, risk assessment, and release readiness activities.

Requirements

  • 4–10 years of professional experience in software quality assurance and test automation for web and mobile applications.
  • At least 2–3 years of hands-on experience with Playwright.
  • Strong programming experience in at least one of Java, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
  • Ability to design and build test automation frameworks from scratch and select tools based on project requirements.
  • Strong experience with API automation testing using REST Assured.
  • Knowledge of relational databases and ability to write complex SQL queries using Oracle Database or other relational databases.
  • Hands-on experience with cross-browser testing and automation using BrowserStack and Sauce Labs or similar platforms.
  • Experience with functional, regression, integration, and API testing.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies, CI/CD practices, and modern software development processes.
  • Knowledge of Git/GitHub and version-control best practices is preferred.
  • Exposure to Generative AI/GenAI testing tools and productivity solutions is preferred.
  • Healthcare domain knowledge is an added advantage.
