Responsibilities

Design, develop, and test firmware for implantable neural stimulators, chargers, and handheld remote-control devices.
Contribute to product specifications, architecture, designs, schedules, test plans, upgrades, and project milestones.
Apply standard design processes, technical principles, and engineering techniques to product development and productivity improvements.
Address technical and regulatory challenges while reviewing work for technical soundness, adequacy, and accuracy.
Collaborate with local and remote teams under general supervision.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in computer, electrical, electronic engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of work experience in the relevant field.
5–7 years of experience in microcontroller firmware development.
Professional experience with C/C++ programming languages.
Experience with scripting languages such as PHP and/or Python.
Knowledge of firmware for 8-, 16-, and 32-bit processors from multiple vendors using C/C++ and assembly language is preferred.
Medical-device industry experience under IEC62304 is a plus.
Strong communication skills, ability to work with local and remote teams, and English proficiency of 85% or higher.
