Responsibilities

Lead the architecture, design, development, and operation of secure, highly available IAM services.
Drive reliability, availability, scalability, performance, capacity planning, disaster recovery, and operational readiness for Tier-0 systems.
Define technical direction and lead complex initiatives spanning multiple services and engineering teams.
Architect identity capabilities for AI agents, machine identities, services, and users.
Diagnose complex production issues and implement systemic improvements to prevent recurrence.
Lead design reviews and make high-impact architectural decisions balancing security, reliability, scalability, and maintainability.
Improve observability and automation for mission-critical services.
Partner with Product Management, Security, and engineering teams to deliver durable technical solutions.
Mentor engineers and raise engineering standards through technical leadership, design reviews, and code reviews.

Requirements

Strong programming skills in Java, Go, C++, Python, or a similar language.
Deep understanding of distributed systems, concurrency, fault tolerance, and high-availability architectures.
Significant experience designing and operating large-scale, mission-critical cloud services.
Strong experience with microservices, cloud architectures, automated testing, and service operations.
Strong understanding of authentication, authorization, application security, and secure software development.
Experience troubleshooting complex production systems and improving reliability and performance.
Understanding of security and compliance requirements including FedRAMP and PCI DSS.
Preferred experience with IAM systems and Tier-0 or similarly critical services.
Experience with OCI, AWS, Azure, or GCP is preferred.
Experience with observability, SLOs, distributed tracing, reliability engineering, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML, SCIM, JWT, or applied cryptography is preferred.
Familiarity with identity models for AI agents, machine identities, delegation, and agentic systems is preferred.
Ability to provide technical leadership, make architectural decisions, influence across teams, and mentor engineers.
