Responsibilities

Develop, optimize, maintain, test, debug, upgrade, and migrate Python-based applications.
Program using Python, Pentaho, and Spark, and enhance existing data and application solutions.
Develop and test Thought Machine Vault Core smart contracts, including headers, parameters, lifecycle hooks, scheduled triggers, and simulation tests.
Automate application building, packaging, testing, and deployment to support continuous delivery.
Analyze user requirements, define application objectives and functionality, and create detailed design documentation.
Integrate applications with internal and third-party systems through APIs.
Identify and resolve technical issues and contribute to software development lifecycle activities.
Collaborate with engineers, cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and technical and non-technical partners.
Apply AI tools to improve productivity and workflows while exercising responsible judgment over data and AI outputs.

Requirements

Strong hands-on Python development experience, including object-oriented programming, exception handling, modular programming, and advanced Python concepts.
Experience with Python testing and debugging using tools such as PyTest or Unittest.
Knowledge of PEP 8, version control, and collaborative development using Git, GitHub, or GitLab.
Experience with Thought Machine Vault Core and Python-based smart contract engineering.
Proficiency with API requests and integrations, including GET and POST operations.
Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP and multi-process deployment architectures.
Understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases and ORMs such as SQLAlchemy.
Extensive experience with configuration and infrastructure tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, or Helm.
Understanding of networking concepts including firewalls, load balancing, and data transfer.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, adaptability, and collaboration skills.
