Quality Engineer in Remote

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain automated test frameworks for UI, API, and integration testing.
  • Develop automated test suites using Java, Python, JavaScript, Kotlin, Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, and Appium.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and provide fast, reliable feedback.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to identify root causes, improve testability, and prevent production defects.
  • Define quality metrics and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Perform performance, load, and reliability testing as needed.
  • Review code, contribute to architectural discussions, and champion automation-first practices.
  • Mentor junior engineers on automation, tooling, and quality engineering principles.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in quality engineering, test automation, or software engineering.
  • Strong programming skills in one or more modern languages.
  • Hands-on experience with automation frameworks and CI/CD systems.
  • Deep understanding of testing strategies for distributed systems, APIs, and modern web and mobile applications.
  • Familiarity with cloud environments and DevOps practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to influence engineering teams and drive organization-wide quality improvements.
