React/Node Developer Intern in USA

Responsibilities

  • Analyze end-user system issues by researching code, identifying root causes, and recommending or implementing solutions.
  • Develop government web pages using JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML/CSS, React, and Node.js.
  • Participate in Scrum meetings and other activities on an Agile software development project.
  • Collaborate with fellow interns on a technical project and present results to the executive team.
  • Conduct external software testing and write and maintain user guide documentation.
  • Attend corporate meetings to learn about business development, finance, and project management.

Requirements

  • US citizenship and ability to obtain a public trust clearance or higher as required.
  • Rising junior or senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; rising seniors are strongly preferred.
  • Experience with React UI, Node.js, and AWS Cloud Tools.
  • Ability to understand complex business processes, research problems, identify root causes, and implement solutions.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, learning agility, and interest in solving complex software challenges.
  • Ability to commute to the Reston, Virginia office at least two days per week.
  • Preferred experience includes Jest, React Testing Library, Mocha, Chai, Sinon, Java, AWS Lambda, Git, Jenkins, Maven, Ansible, JUnit, SQL, PostgreSQL, and DynamoDB.
