Responsibilities

Design, implement, and optimize real-time firmware on an RTOS.
Develop task scheduling, IPC, synchronization, and deterministic real-time behavior.
Implement device drivers and middleware within the RTOS environment.
Tune firmware for latency, jitter, and CPU and memory footprint.
Port and configure the RTOS for new SoCs and boards.
Debug real-time and concurrency issues including race conditions and priority inversion.
Collaborate with platform, DSP, and application teams.

Requirements

BS or MS in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science.
5+ years of embedded firmware development in C on RTOS-based systems.
Deep understanding of real-time scheduling, concurrency, and synchronization.
Experience with at least one RTOS: FreeRTOS, Zephyr, ThreadX, or QNX.
Linux kernel driver development experience.
Strong debugging skills using JTAG/SWD, trace, and lab instruments.
Understanding of microcontroller and SoC architecture, including memory, interrupts, and DMA.
Preferred: ARM Cortex-M/R experience.
Preferred: low-latency, high-rate sensor data pipeline experience.
Preferred: safety-critical or functional-safety firmware experience, including ISO 26262.
Preferred: multi-core AMP/SMP RTOS configuration experience.
Preferred: robotics or autonomous systems background.
