Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain REST and GraphQL APIs.
Write production-grade Ruby code for core services and applications.
Develop integrations with internal, external, and third-party systems.
Create API documentation and development standards.
Implement authentication, authorization, encryption, and API security practices.
Monitor and optimize API performance, reliability, and scalability.
Support API versioning and backward compatibility.
Troubleshoot production issues and participate in Tier 1 and Tier 2 on-call rotations.
Collaborate with technical leadership on code quality, security, and maintainability.
Promote AI-enabled development tools to improve productivity and code quality.

Requirements

At least six years of Ruby on Rails development experience.
Strong experience designing, building, and supporting APIs.
Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, or other relational databases.
Experience with the RSpec testing framework.
Preferred experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, OAuth, Git, Sidekiq, Java, and Spring Boot.
Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
Must have lived continuously in the United States for the previous three consecutive years.
Must successfully pass a government suitability review and background investigation.
