Responsibilities

Design and develop host-platform SDKs and APIs in C/C++ and Python for Lyte’s sensing products.
Build host drivers, data-streaming components, and device configuration and control interfaces.
Develop sample applications, reference integrations, and developer documentation.
Ensure cross-platform support for Linux and Windows and maintain clean, stable API designs.
Optimize host-side data pipelines for throughput and latency.
Collaborate with firmware and perception teams to expose device capabilities.
Support customer integrations and debug SDK issues.

Requirements

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of experience developing SDKs, libraries, or systems software in C/C++ and Python.
Strong API design and cross-platform development skills.
Experience with device communication using USB, PCIe, and Ethernet, plus data streaming.
Strong understanding of memory management, concurrency, and performance optimization.
Excellent documentation and developer-experience mindset.
Preferred: experience shipping SDKs used by external developers.
Preferred: sensor, camera, or LiDAR data-pipeline experience.
Preferred: Python bindings with pybind11 or packaging experience.
Preferred: ROS or ROS 2 integration, CUDA expertise, and a robotics or autonomous-systems background.
