Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain backend services powering core products and platforms.
  • Develop event-driven systems using Go and Kafka.
  • Build scalable microservices with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Drive architecture decisions that improve performance, resiliency, and maintainability.
  • Collaborate with engineers, product managers, designers, and QA on end-to-end solutions.
  • Own production services by monitoring, debugging, and improving performance and reliability.
  • Write automated tests and follow CI/CD practices for high-quality deployments.
  • Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, knowledge sharing, and an on-call rotation.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of backend development experience in Go or a similar language.
  • Strong understanding of microservices architecture, distributed systems, and event-based communication.
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and container orchestration, including Kubernetes and Docker.
  • Understanding of observability, monitoring, and performance optimization.
  • Ability to troubleshoot production issues, analyze system behavior, and drive resolution.
  • Business-level proficiency in Japanese is required.
  • Preferred experience includes gaming, payments, commerce systems, adtech, offer monetization, Kafka or equivalent streaming platforms, Redis, AWS, GCP, Azure, ClickHouse, Postgres, internal platforms, or developer-facing tools.
