Senior DevOps Engineer in Australia new

Responsibilities

  • Deliver cloud development and engineering activities with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Build, maintain, and improve Infrastructure as Code across multiple systems.
  • Create and maintain automated deployments and self-service capabilities.
  • Support and troubleshoot Java applications operating in Linux environments.
  • Build and support Microsoft Azure services and technologies.
  • Monitor cloud-service health and utilization using cloud-native tools.
  • Perform performance tuning and contribute to operational improvements and complex technical design.
  • Investigate complex issues, escalate unresolved problems, and maintain reports, proposals, and project documentation.
  • Own relevant technologies, collaborate directly with the client onsite, and address complex solution requirements.
  • Mentor and coach engineers and promote knowledge sharing and effective engineering practices.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated practical experience with cloud implementations.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure PROTECTED cloud environments.
  • Experience with Elasticsearch and scripting languages such as PowerShell.
  • Experience troubleshooting Java applications in Linux or Java development experience.
  • Experience creating and maintaining automated deployments.
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code, preferably including Ansible and ARM.
  • Current AGSVA NV1 security clearance.
  • Ability to work full-time from the client’s premises in Canberra.
  • Mentoring experience is desirable.
  • Desirable technology experience includes Azure Bicep, Terraform, HBase/HDFS, HDInsight, Neo4j, Kafka, NiFi, Kibana, Logstash, GraphQL, Redis, WSO2 Identity Server, WSO2 API Manager, PostgreSQL, React, Java Spring Boot, Azure big data services, Azure AD/ADFS, Azure API Manager, and Azure Cosmos DB.
